Asian guys and girls getting asian eyelid surgery is such a loaded issue... linking to eurocentric perceptions of beauty, brainwashings, european imperialism, conforming to the white media, and issues of self-esteem as a minority...
What are ya'lls opinion on this surgery? is it as loaded as it sounds? do Asians want to get it because double eyelids are more attractive... or are Asians trying to look more white because society has stigmatized them during their childhood?

I know it's been a while since I've updated, so let's start it off with another quiz. :D
Anywho, the weekend was pretty fun, but they could have played better music at the CSA party.
Oh well.. yet another string of quizzes coming up within the next few weeks. Studying for some of them are quite useless because they never tell you what to study. *cough* Psychobio *cough* and you always end up learning what you don't want to/care to know. We're learning about BMI's in nutrition, and I just realized how out of shape I'm in. Today, I did 68 Situps in 2 minutes, which is better than yesterday's 57. Now my abs are dying, because I haven't done this since 10th Grade :D
My goal for now until the end of the semester, however, is to be able to do more 1-handed pushups and to become more adept in my forms in Wushu. I'm so into Wushu right now I'm training at least 2 hours a day and trying to improve my flexibility as well. In combination with the physical conditioning today.. I'm exhausted, so hopefully I can do better tomorrow :P

it was all just a misunderstanding. and a huge ass overreaction on my part. but what's done is done. at least moving on will be a lot easier now.
..but i'm tired of my roommate's constant bitching about me playing my music when he's trying to work or sleep. (like he does work or sleep at all.. pshhhh negro please. i'm surprised he hasn't flunked his ass out yet) i'm only giving the bitch a taste of his own medicine. every single morning he blasts his repetetive ass slow jams when i'm trying to sleep. i'm actually surprised at how sane i am after living in the same room with him for a month now. he's like the suite bully, but i don't give a shit... he doesn't really mess with me because he claims that i'm "one crazy ass nigga". lol.. whatever that means. at least he doesn't throw me around like he does to the other suitemates when he wrestles them onto the ground for no reason... anywho.. at least we have SOME interests.. in common... like...................... music..? actually... i'll get back to you on that one....... but other than the noise level.. we're still cool. for now.
anyway... other than those 2 aspects of life at this point, everything else is peachy :D i can't wait until fall break when i can actually go home and get more warm clothing, as the weather will be very cold in november.. and i don't feel like going back home before thanksgiving lol. right now i have like 2 pairs of pants and one jacket :/
however.. before the break, just as everyone else here... i have a shitload of homework assignments and more exams than you can shake a stick at.

anyway, on a lighter note, gtown was soooo effin incredible today. damn i wanna become a cardiac specialist surgeon now~~~~~
btw, gtown accepts 176 out of 10,000 who apply to its med school each year. but hey, no one said i had to go to gtown. uva's med is just a tite to me. with it's 500 applicants yearly. and it's lovely in state considerations. hot damn i love uva.
